About Lomia

This site is my personal sanctuary on the internet, mainly used to store my writings and a few other bits and pieces. Although its structure might seem a bit peculiar, I consider it my blog.

I have divided the site into four sections: Stories, Technologies, Lives, and Others. Among them, Stories is where I keep my OC creations, using it almost like a wiki. This module is also the primary source of content for my blog. Technologies is mostly related to computer science, driven purely by my own interests. It doesn't have much nesting and is arranged in chronological order. Lives is similar to the former but leans more towards the humanities. The content in Others doesn't fit into the first three categories; anything that appears here is highly likely related to "me"—perhaps like a diary.

Hovering over or clicking the website logo in the top right corner of the blog will bring up the site's directory. A mascot appears at the bottom of the page; clicking her will bring up the Fediverse login button, allowing you to authorize this site to write comments. If you prefer not to log in with an account on this site, you can click "quick reply" to return to your own Fediverse instance to write your comment. Please note that this site's Fediverse module might not be fully compatible with Misskey-based instances.

The site is built with Golang, uses HTML Templates to generate pages, and relies on SQLite to store some data. It is currently running on a rather weak 1C1G VPS located in a West Coast US data center. It runs smoothly, responses are quick, and the memory footprint is only around a dozen megabytes. As I am not a master of my craft, I received a lot of help from net neighbors and LLMs during the setup, for which I am deeply grateful. My taste is quite poor, and the CSS I cobbled together isn't very pretty, so please don't mind it too much T T

The name Lomia comes from the Vocaloid song 骸骨楽団とリリア by producer Tohma. Specifically from a line in the lyrics: **"君は聞こえる? ロミア ロミア" **. I found it very romantic, so I adopted it. In Chinese, Lomia refers to Asteroid 117 (Lomia), the 117th asteroid discovered by humanity. It is said to be named after the mythical figure Lamia from Greek mythology.

The password for all locked pages is "Spica" (case-sensitive). My intention is not to hide these pages, but rather to prevent others from being blindsided by their content without preparation. Locked pages often contain unhealthy or incomplete material, so I advise caution when viewing them. I really love the song SPiCa, and Spica (translated as Alpha Virginis) is also a star—the sixteenth brightest star in the night sky. I likely won't change this password anytime soon.

Please note that I like using LLMs to assist in my daily life and see nothing wrong with it. Therefore, please assume by default that all text on this site has involved the assistance of ChatGPT, Gemini, or other LLMs. However, I do not use AI-generated images.

About Me

Shitantan

I am CarbonC, a cute anime-loving otaku currently residing overseas. I am an absolute Miku fan and consider Hatsune Miku a core part of my life! Gender is just an external concept; if you ask, I'm just a piece of carbon. I often write text that feels like it's on a strange wavelength, so please bear with me.

My primary presence online comes from drawing. I don't draw much fanart these days, but I really love developing my own OCs~ When I have time, I do a bit of 3D modeling—either BJD sculpting or anime character modeling—though my skills aren't top-tier. An independent game is earnestly in the works (really, it's being made, though I've been procrastinating a bit).

In my spare time, I watch Japanese anime and read manga; I love Ghost in the Shell and Hunter x Hunter. In recent years, I've been obsessed with playing retro games and have locked horns with Atlus, becoming deeply hooked on the Megaten and Persona series. Occasionally, I read books; my favorites are One Hundred Years of Solitude and The Catcher in the Rye. I don't watch many movies, but I like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Full Metal Jacket, etc.

About the Mascot

Lomia

This is the blog's mascot, Lomia-chan! An unparalleled, white-haired, red-eyed, twin-tailed, adorable, expressionless maid girl!!

Lomia-chan doesn't really serve a practical purpose, but she is incredibly cute, and being cute is more than enough.
